Valerie (Val) Sorbie is a Senior Advisor to LXRandCo, responsible for overseeing its strategic growth plans. Val focuses on board, leadership and strategic advisory, bringing over 30 years of experience in strategy and operations. She is a member of several boards including: Harvard Kennedy School Woman’s Leadership Board; Steam Whistle Brewery; Kahuso; Bishop Strachan School, and; Black Business and Professionals Association. Val is currently Managing Director at Gibraltar Ventures and prior to her role there, Val was Chief Administrative Officer, BMO Capital Markets and Senior Vice President, Office of Strategic Management, BMO Financial Group. Prior to BMO, Val’s experience includes Chief Operating Officer of several software companies, both public and private, in the US, UK, Canada and Israel, and she was also a Strategy Consultant at A.T. Kearney’s Strategy and Omega Strategy Partners (UK). Val holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, Canada, a Premier Diploma from the University of Grenoble, France and an Honours BA from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in Anthropology and Biology.
Camillo di Prata
Interim Chief Executive Officer and Office of the President
Camillo (Cam) di Prata is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gibraltar, which owns all of the outstanding shares of Gibraltar Opportunity, and the Managing Partner of Gibraltar Ventures One, Inc., the general partner of Gibraltar Ventures. As a former financial services industry executive with over 25 years of mergers and acquisitions and leadership experience, Cam possesses significant mergers, acquisitions, divestiture and transactional experience primarily in the technology, media and consumer sectors. During his career he worked, with successively increasing leadership responsibilities, at Nesbitt Burns, Citigroup, and Scotia Capital. In 2003, he joined National Bank Financial as Vice-Chairman. In 2006, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and head of National Bank Financial’s corporate and investment banking division, a position he held until 2012. He founded Gibraltar in 2013. In addition to his responsibilities with Gibraltar and its related activities, Cam is active on several corporate boards and in the not for-profit sector, where he has been a past director of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, The Canadian Opera Company and The Munk Centre for Global Affairs. He is presently Honorary Director of The Luminato Festival, a trustee of the Art Gallery of Ontario where he Chairs the Audit Committee, and a director and treasurer of The International Festival of Authors. Cam has been a director of LXRandCo since June 2015.
Chief Operating Officer
Joslyn Paredes is currently Chief Operating Officer. Joslyn joined the LXRandCo team in 2017, bringing with her 15 years of Retail and Wholesale experience, holding various roles in Buying, Planning, and Allocation. Prior to joining LXRandCo, Joslyn was the Manager of Planning and Process Implementation at the luxury retail company, The Want Apothecary and group of companies. During her time there, Joslyn developed and built the structure of the Planning & Analytical functions of the retail & wholesale divisions, helped build and manage various functions of the Merchandising team, and improved ERP and related reporting tools. Joslyn earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Major in International Business and a Minor in Financial Accountancy from Concordia University in Montreal.
Director of Sales - USA
Laura Swan is the Director of Sales - USA where she is responsible for the Company's wholesale activities and the US retail network. Laura joined LXRandCo in June of 2019, bringing with her over 25 years of Retail experience and success in Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Product development and Developing highly successful teams. Prior to joining LXRandCo, Laura was the VP of Accessories at the BonTon, where she was responsible for the successful launch of LXRandCo. Before this role, she was Senior Vice President DMM at Kohl’s for 10 years, where she introduced new business categories, implemented best practices in merchandising, and increased the ecommerce contribution. She was recruited to this opportunity from Zale’s, where she was Senior Vice President of Merchandising in the US and Zale Canada. Laura began her retail career at Macy’s and held various progressive leadership roles during her tenure there. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Retail from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Jewelers for Children organization and has been recognized for excellence in merchandising by the Women’s Jewelry Association. Laura also has a passion for serving her community and is a member of the Waukesha Women and Girls Fund planning committee, whose mission is dedicated to advancing the health, well-being and empowerment of women and girls in her local community.
Chief Financial Officer
Nadine Eap is the Chief Financial Officer. Nadine has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting and operations roles. Prior to joining LXRandCo, she was Finance Manager at TSX-listed Aimia Inc., where she was responsible for corporate planning and analysis of various departments, as well as providing finance business support to the office of the Chief Information Officer. Prior thereto, Nadine was Director of Administration and Finance at Logibec, a software and consulting company in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Logibec, Nadine spent seven years at Deloitte in Montreal and Sydney, Australia, where she held various roles with increasing responsibilities, serving both large public and private clients, primarily in Technology, Media and Telecommunications ("TMT") and Consumer sectors. Nadine earned a Bachelor of commerce degree and a Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from HEC Montreal. She is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agrees du Québec.

Pierre-Andre (Pete) Vungoc

Pierre-Andre (Pete) is LXRandCo’s Chief Technology Officer where he is responsible for managing LXRandCo’s information technology and infrastructure, information systems, and software development. Pete brings a wealth of Information Technology knowledge and Project Management expertise to the LXRandCo team. With over 8 years of experience in IT, Pete has managed teams of 5 – 120 people. Before his start at LXRandCo, Pete worked as an e-Commerce consultant for a NetSuite solutions provider as well as an IT Project Manager on various projects at McGill University and Pratt & Whitney. Pete earned a Bachelor of Software Engineering in 2008 and a Graduate Diploma in Internet Business in 2011, both from McGill University.
