Steven Goldsmith

President & Chief Executive Officer

Steven Goldsmith was appointed as CEO and President of LXRandCo as of April 2018. Steven brings to LXRandCo more than 25 years of success in retail, merchandising and marketing across multiple distribution platforms including internet, catalogue, department stores, television, retail and wholesale. Prior to his appointment, Steven was Chief Executive Officer and President of Brookstone Inc. since June 2016. Steven lead Brookstone during a time of expansion into domestic and international retail markets and increased product development. Prior to joining Brookstone, Steven served as President of The Shopping Channel, Canada’s leading multi-channel retailer, from 2012 to 2016. He was Executive Vice-President, Merchandising at Sears Canada Inc. from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice-President, Limited Brands Direct, where he led the marketing, merchandising and e-Commerce activities for Victoria’s Secret Direct and Bath & Body Works Direct from 2007 to 2011. Throughout his career, Steven has held leadership positions for major brands including Amazon, SmartBargains (now RueLaLa) and ShopNBC, where the e-Commerce business increased six-fold over the two-year period he was there. After graduating in 1988 from the State University of New York, Albany, Goldsmith joined the May Department Stores Company, spending the first decade of his retail career in the Lord & Taylor, Filene’s and Foley’s divisions.

Frédérick (Fred) Mannella

Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer

Fred Mannella is the Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of LXRandCo. Along with his wife, Kei Izawa, Mannella co-founded LXRandCo in November 2010. As CEO, Fred is responsible for the overall execution of LXRandCo’s business strategy. In addition to his role as CEO, Fred manages corporate development and retail partner relationships and oversees international expansion as well as the procurement function. Fred’s determination, ambition, and vision for LXRandCo is what has propelled the Company. Under Fred’s fearless leadership, LXRandCo has developed a strong retail network of partnerships and locations across the globe. Fred earned a Bachelor of Commerce in 2008 from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Administration in Japan where he majored in finance with a minor in Asia Pacific Business Administration. 

Kei Izawa

Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer

Kei is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of LXRandCo, overseeing all key operating functions of the business in North America and internationally including finance, supply chain, logistics, and human resources.  Kei has a deep understanding of the LXRandCo customer, the Company’s value proposition, and is responsible for the articulation and leadership of LXRandCo’s cultural initiatives. Kei is responsible for the Company’s in-store training resources and ensuring the brand guidelines are consistently delivered upon. Prior to founding LXRandCo, Kei worked for Bloomberg Finance in Tokyo. Kei holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University in Montréal where she graduated in 2008 with a major in physics and a minor in French.

Elise Dufour

Senior Advisor

Elise is a Senior Advisor to LXRandCo and is advising on new business acquisition and retail partnerships. As a trusted advisor to LXRandCo, Elise has given invaluable guidance and direction in nurturing the growth of retail relationships since 2015. Prior to joining LXRandCo, Elise began her 28-year career at L’Oréal Canada as Regional and National Sales Manager of Lancôme and the Designer Fragrances Division. Over the years, Elise took on increasingly senior roles as General Manager and Commercial Vice President Luxury Division and Vice President and General Manager L’Oréal Canada, covering brands such as Lancôme, Biotherm, Clarisonic, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, YSL and Urban Decay. Elise has study Law at the University of Laval, Québec City.

Val Sorbie

Senior Advisor

Val is a Senior Advisor to LXRandCo, responsible for overseeing its strategic growth plans. Val focuses on board, leadership and strategic advisory, bringing over 30 years of experience in strategy and operations. She is a member of several boards including: Harvard Kennedy School Woman’s Leadership Board; Steam Whistle Brewery; Kahuso; Bishop Strachan School, and; Black Business and Professionals Association. Val is currently Managing Director at Gibraltar Ventures and prior to her role there, Val was Chief Administrative Officer, BMO Capital Markets and Senior Vice President, Office of Strategic Management, BMO Financial Group. Prior to BMO, Val’s experience includes Chief Operating Officer of several software companies, both public and private, in the US, UK, Canada and Israel, and she was also a Strategy Consultant at A.T. Kearney’s Strategy and Omega Strategy Partners (UK). Val holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, Canada, a Premier Diploma from the University of Grenoble, France and an Honours BA from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in Anthropology and Biology.

Masami Inamura

Head of Supplier Sourcing

Masami is Head Supplier, Sourcing. Based in Tokyo, Masami oversees a team of 5 employees and is responsible for LXRandCo’s sourcing and supplier relationships, buying schedule and budget as well as training new Buyers and regularly attending auction. Masami joined the LXRandCo Tokyo team in April 2012 and has been an integral part in the development of the sourcing network in Japan. Prior to LXRandCo, Masami worked with the Hokkaido Government where she assisted with organizing the G8 Summit held in Toyako, Japan in 2008. Masami earned a Bachelor of Political Science from Concordia Univeristy in 2007. 

Pierre-Andre (Pete) Vungoc

Chief Technology Officer

Pete is LXRandCo’s Chief Technology Officer where he is responsible for managing LXRandCo’s information technology and infrastructure, information systems, and software development. Pete brings a wealth of Information Technology knowledge and Project Management expertise to the LXRandCo team. With over 8 years of experience in IT, Pete has managed teams of 5 – 120 people. Before his start at LXRandCo, Pete worked as an e-Commerce consultant for a NetSuite solutions provider as well as an IT Project Manager on various projects at McGill University and Pratt & Whitney. Pete earned a Bachelor of Software Engineering in 2008 and a Graduate Diploma in Internet Business in 2011, both from McGill University. 

Greg Cecchin-Leger

Chief Human Resources Officer

Greg Cecchin-Léger has been the Chief Human Resources Officer of LXRandCo since June 2017. Greg brings to LXRandCo a diversified HR portfolio, acquired through a mix of Entertainment, Retail and Professional Services companies. Prior to joining LXRandCo, Greg was the HR Director of a law firm for 3 years, where he redesigned major HR processes, lowered turnover, and increased employee engagement. At KPMG, he spent 9 years working on talent acquisition, employer branding and strategic counsel. Greg spent the first decade of his career within the Retail & Entertainment industries, managing large-scale projects for new venues and innovative talent management. He has worked for major brands including Ikea, Disney and Europe’s leading Movie Theater operator.

Tyler Harder

Creative Director

Tyler brings 15 years of marketing experience to LXRandCo, with a focus on the nexus of brand, creative and technology. He works to combine time-tested marketing principles with the measurable benefits of digital, using social data and agile creative strategies to drive lead generation, conversion and sales. As a marketing director and digital marketing agency lead in Tokyo, he worked closely with brands like Coca Cola, AXA, Ralph Lauren, Hilton Worldwide, APA Hotels, and Mynavi. Tyler has an extensive history managing complex enterprise web and digital projects, and specializes in clarifying complex situations into clear directives and measurable, technically reliable solutions.
